The Bad Boys in the Attic
This is my first full-length novel for young readers. Eleven-year-old Olly starts to hallucinate, hearing voices at night. He hears loud voices and footsteps running towards his bed. Sometimes it feels as though someone is sitting on his chest, pinning him down. These encounters are so frightening that Olly actually starts wetting the bed. Soon, the voices are telling him to come up through the trapdoor in the hallway and visit them, and when he does, he meets Bill and Ben, the Bad Boys in the Attic.
Olly listened very carefully, the thud still echoing down his spine. He could still hear the TV on, though his parents weren’t talking. He could hear some kind of electrical whining noise, or perhaps it was the water pipes or some other part of the house you can only hear when everything else is dead silent. The sharp white silence that follows an extremely loud noise.

I am currently querying agents with this book and hope it will be published in the near future.
Stamp
Whilst his parents were eating, the boy began to cry
Stamp is about a little boy who gets so cross that he stamps his feet so hard that he flies off into outer space
They didn’t seem to hear him and he didn’t know why.

Don’t you know?
Daddy, Daddy! Where do babies come from?
Don’t You Know? is a dialogue between a quizzical kid and a dad with all the answers
You mean you don’t know? Well, according to Plato
We all had four arms, four legs and two faces a long time ago
But the gods came along and thought that made us too strong
So they split us in two, like me and your mum,
And our reward for finding each other was you, my young son.

Projects in the pipeline
Trouble Jadge and Tangle Wolf
This is Trouble Jadge. He’s a young boy with mischief in his veins. He’s very clever, but perhaps that’s the problem. He’s always jumping, hiding, slipping, sliding, asking and answering. He’s always up to something. He’s always getting into trouble. His face is a mix of East and West, and his hair is a smooth brown tangle. He doesn’t wear glasses, but his eyes are always glinting, and whenever they find some trouble they start to gleam.
This is Tangle Wolf. She’s a middle-aged dog with a playful heart and lazy soul. She’s clever, but perhaps that’s the problem. She’s always begging, sniffing, pulling, biting, farting and sulking. When she’s at home she never does anything, but when she’s out she’s always up to something. She’s always getting tangled up. She is made of three black dots, three triangles and four white socks. She also had a question mark at the end to finish things off.
This is a work in progress about a little boy and a big dog who find adventures and chaos. But, I don’t know exactly what’s going to happen to them yet! Keep checking back for more
